Appearance: Dimitri is tall and muscular, about 6ft in height. His hair is dark brown, almost black, its thick but is cut short for practical use. He has a somewhat imposing figure, but a friendly and accessible face. He has large features, a large nose and lips, but a very wide and welcoming, almost charming smile. His eyes are a nice shade of chocolate brown.

Personality: Dimitri is not the nicest guy in the world. He tends to look at the world through the hard eyes of someone who's seen a lot of horror and is expecting the worse of everyone. To be able to cope with his empathy gift, he deliberately behaves like a jerk. He's quite sarcastic and what he thinks can be funny, will not be to everyone else. He is tough and resilient, he never gives up. He has a sharp mind and is good at noticing things around him. Dimitri is bisexual and a shameless flirt with anything, male or female, human or otherwise, he tells himself he needs something to take his mind of the hardship of his job and uses sex and booze as his release. He's also not afraid to flaunt the fact he's extremely wealthy around as well.
Talents: Dimitri's most noticeable talent his empathy gift. He can sense the emotions of the people around him, feel what they are feeling. His other talents are mainly a sharp mind and intelligence. He's good at noticing what goes on around him, little details that can come in handy later.
Weaknesses: Dimitri is obnoxious. He can be a jerk at the worst of times, and has a habit of doing what he wants to do despite what others tell him. He has issues with authority figures too. Dimitri is also spoiled and still behaves like a spoiled brat expecting to get his own way most of the time. He takes on too much and often becomes overwhelmed with work, made worse by the fact he has trouble accepting advise. He also despises his empathy gift. While he's not opposed to using it for personal gain, he finds it a hindrance more often than not.

History:

Dimitri was born in Romania but raised in Los Angeles. His mother was a psychic who fled from Romania after an affair with a vampire that had gone wrong. Only a tiny child of two at the time Dimitri doesn't really remember anything. His mother fled to L.A. with the help of her sister, Dimitri's aunt Iska. They roomed with her in her apartment, she taught Dimitri how to speak English, preparing him for the American school system. His mother got herself a job as a maid and house keeper in the Beverly Hills district of the city for a very rich family. Dimitri had always known his mother was a psychic, her gift was touch - the ability to see the future or past events by touching an object or a person, Aunt Iska was also a touch psychic, who ran an occult shop offering fortune telling as well. They learned Dimitri was an empath when he was a small and very sensitive child.
Aunt Iska taught him how to use his empathy skills and trained him to handle them.

When Dimitri was 11, his mother got married. She had fallen in love with the son of the family she had been working for and seen him for some times. Dimitri lived a charmed live after that. That didn't mean Aunt Iska was going to let him forget his training or give up on training. Dimitri left for college at 18. He attended UCLA, gaining a degree in psychology. He worked in a private clinic for many years, before giving up his practice and moving to Phoenix where he joined the Phoenix police force working with their RPIT department as a criminal psychologist. It was there he met Sydney Haynes, and got involved in a relationship with her. The relationship was passionate, but Dimitri soon grew bored eventually left her, using the excuse that he had been transferred to Chicago's RPIT team instead, where in actual fact he had decided to move there himself anyway. So he left Phoenix. It was in Chicago where he met a vampire by the name of Cheshire and found himself with an offer he couldn't refuse. He was actually on a date in the restaurant where he met the vampire, but the spark that flew with Cheshire was twice as appealing as the girl herself. Dimitri finished with the girl and took the position as Cheshire's pomme de sang. He lives in Arcadia with Cheshire and continues to work for Chicago's RPIT.
