Description
A bright, cheerful person Gabriel can usually find something good in every situation. He seems to have endless amounts of cheerfulness. His unwavering optimism can be annoying sometimes. He's a very faithful person, though does get a little clingy. Gabe might know when he's overstepped his boundaries, but often just ignores it. He doesn't like serious situations, and will usually try to find a way to get out of it, avoiding responsibility unless the lives of people he knows and loves are in danger.
Magical Talent: Gabriel's talents revolve mainly around making charms. He has the potential to be pretty good in the garden and with herbs and potions if he puts the effort in, his sister Mirrorball often teases him he just needs a good woman to teach him how. And patience might help. He has a pretty good stocked kitchen, just doesn't use it like it could be. Gabriel focuses his magic on charms mainly. He can just about manage flesh crafting with some difficulty, but doesn't like using it.
Appearance
On first glance Gabriel appears to be a good looking yuppie. He's not particularly tall or muscular, not what you might call strikingly handsome. He's more on the pretty side, with a very youthful face of almost cherub like cuteness. But he is attractive in his own way. He looks like the type of well dressed person you might describe as "suave or maybe even "charming" - he's very clean cut, has healthy, clear skin, short neat brown hair with a natural curl that's always perfectly styled. Gabe's dress sense is trendy casual.
Familiar
Poppy is a beautiful and friendly golden retriever. She has a lovely thick glossy coat of various shades of gold with a white underbelly. She has an irresistible charm about her, and quirky, quizzical big brown dog eyes. Poppy is always wagging her tail. She loves attention and to be cooed over. She's very friendly and can be a little over enthusiastic sometimes. She's the perfect people person companion for cheerful and friendly Gabriel. Poppy does look out for him, and has a good sense for when danger is near and if she's around will prod him when she feels he's over stepping his boundaries and he's not doing anything about him.
History
Gabriel was born and raised in Salem to an upper-middle class family. He was a reasonably smart student, and the oldest of three siblings. They got on pretty well, though Raphael had a bit of a wild streak. Raphaelleft home at sixteen after having become addicted to Blood Magic. At least that was what Gabriel heard. He hasn't heard from his younger brother in decades. But made no effort to really try and find out what happened. He went away to college to UCLA gaining a degree in journalism, and film studies, but found he much preferred and missed Salem. He completed his degree and went back to Salem, where he got a job at a local TV station. Gabriel started off as an assistant, and attracted the eye of one of the up and coming presenters of a hot new Witch lunch time gossip show. He and Marisol fell head over heals for each other and were married with in six weeks of dating.
Unfortunately, once married Marisol wasn't the sweet perky girl she appeared to be on the chat show. She had dabbled in Blood magic some time ago, got out of it, and an old friend had come back to town and was dragging her in again. Gabriel didn't like her so much on Blood magic it reminded him too much of Raphael before he ran away, and despite his desperate attempts to be cheerful and smooth things over, much to his distress, they fought constantly, and Gabriel wound up always apologising to Marisol. Marisol gave up with him and left him after about a month. He tried to stick with her, be open to her new ideas, but she wasn't interested any more.
She didn't go back to the TV show, which was a relief for Gabriel, who had now progressed to his dream job of camera man. Gabriel was crushed for a long time afterwards. But eventually he learned to trust women again, though he hasn't had a long term relationship since Marisol. He still lives and works in Salem, and is still on the look out for a new relationship.
