Description
Kate's personality changes like the weather. It more often than not depends on her mood and her company. Kate used to be a very bright and cheerful girl who liked to make everyone around her feel liked and welcome. If you ask her help now, unless she really likes you, you'll most likely get flipped the finger. Kate is brass and loud, she likes to speak her mind. She is very opinionated. She doesn't like to dwell on thoughts of the future, she likes to live in the moment. Sometimes this can lead to a bad decision. Kateis also manipulative. She'll be flirty and seductive to try and get her own way. She likes power, and its usually people with a higher position to her she will be nice to. She has problems with authority, Kate doesn't like to take orders unless there is something in it for her. Though she can be very loyal to anyone lucky enough to be considered her friend.
Magical Talent: Kate likes to take on the most difficult spells she can find, she has a desire to prove herself and say I can do this, it doesn't scare me! She's a pretty good potion mixer, though her work tends to veer towards curses, occasionally she'll make strength enhancers, the odd love potion, but Kate tends to like the nastier spells. She's currently working on expanding her necromancy skills, she doesn't care about what it costs, as long as it makes her stronger and harder. Kate's ultimate goal is to develop her magical talents enough to gain the ability to work with the added bonus that a sacrifice will provide.
Appearance
Kate is tall for a girl standing at exactly 6 feet high. Her figure is curvy and slender, her legs long, her chest ample. The tone of her skin is extremely pale in colour like almost milk white but with a shine to it like moonstone. Her hair is long and reaches past her shoulders to the middle of her back, very thick and very very black, sometimes she has blue streaks in it, usually worn in a beehive style. Other times she has it worn in dreadlocks. Kate's eyes are one of her proudest features, mahogany in colour, she always outlines in thick dark liner and thick mascara, usually in an Egyptian like style. Her eyebrows are always plucked so she pencils them in. Her cheekbones are high and delicate, her nose is small. Her lips are pouty and always emphasized with lipstick in a range of colours from black to red. On both of Kate's arms and on her back are collections of tattoos in various patterns including a full image of a large breasted woman in a red top on her right arm and a naked woman on her left arm. She has both ears pieced six times. Kate's dress sense tends to be on the wild side.

Rogue is a mink that Kate picked up on a trip to the UK. It was Rogue who found Kate, who had stumbled into her territory, but when Kate didn't flee or flinch at Rogue's attack, a strange bond seemed to form between witch and animal and it was at that moment that Rogue became Kate's familiar. Rogue is long in length, about 18 inches, and slender in weight. Her fur is a thick, rich and a glossy shade of dark brown with a white underbelly. She's very territorial and possessive of Kate, she doesn't like anyone else getting involved in Kate's life, and has a nasty habit of hissing at visitors, and even sometimes will bite. Rogue is very attached to Kate and thinks she knows what's best for her witch.
History
Kate was born into a very wealthy family of witches. Both her parents were Earth witches, and both doctors. So Kate and her brother Scott were given pretty much everything they wanted, they were spoiled. Scott was smart, popular and athletic to the point where he so perfect it was positively sickening. While Kate struggled from one day to the next. She wasn't good with forming relationships with people, wasn't particularly smart like her big brother and often picked on. She developed a junk food comfort addiction, and gained a lot of weight during her childhood and early teens. And when the bullies picked on her and Scott defended her, it just made Kate feel worse.
When she was fourteen her parents sent her to an exclusive private school for witches hoping that would get Kate into gear, at least her magic up to standard. But it didn't do much good, Kate was still an outcast. She was paired with another student for a class project one semester, and the boy soon became her best friend. He didn't care about her lack of looks or magic, and there was something definitely different about him Kate found herself responding to.
He and his family were Blood witches, and while her own parents barely acknowledged her existence, since she wasn't perfect like Scott was, Kate found herself welcome in her best friend's home, and it was him and his parents who first taught her Blood magic. Kate gained a new confidence, and worked hard at losing the weight she'd gained. Once she graduated, she left her parents house, and moved into an apartment in West Salem with her friend, where she still lives now, still practicing Blood magic. Kate has not spoken to her parents or her brother in seven years.
