Appearance: Kestrel is golden haired and gorgeous, and built like a Valkyrie. She's curvy in all the right places, blessed with long legs and an ample chest. Her features are chistled and strong, her honey coloured eyes glow with a dark inner light, fascinating, but also a little strange and frightening. Her lips are pouty and full, her skin tone a lovely mixture of caramel and milk. Her golden hair is long and falls in a sweeping wave over her forehead and rests about midway down her back. Kestrel has pierced ears and a tattoo pattern of a chain of black irises around her left wrist. Kestrel doesn't really care much about how she looks to other people, she wears what she wants when she wants, like a short skirt and tight top in the middle of winter, or fur in the height of summer.
Personality: Kestrel is a predator. A hunter. She sees what she wants and she goes after it. She's become relentless in getting things her way. She's also a shameless flirt, with anything male or female. While she does prefer women to men, she'll flaunt herself in front of man, just so he can get a taste of her, then be disappointed when they get to the down and dirty, she tells them to get lost. Kestrel is a little lost in finding something to do with herself, having not discovered her soulmate, and not really knowing if she could accept it if she did. She hovers a lot, observing.
Strengths: Kestrel's loyalty to her sisters knows no bounds. She's been with them almost her whole life, and will do anything for them, no questions asked. She's a fighter and a hunter and good at extracting information with carefully chosen words and observation when you're not even sure she's doing it. Kestrel's a pretty quick thinker when she puts her mind to it, and is particularly good with computers. Her vampire skills give her enhanced speed and strength, and practical invulnerability as well.
Weaknesses: Kestrel's loyalty to her sisters may be one of her strengths, but its also her biggest weakness. Anyone who has heard of her or her sisters or even those who don't can figure it out and use it as a way to get to her. She pushes the limit's a lot, and rubs people up the wrong way, especially when she dances around the edges, hardly doing anything to contribute apart from sarcastic comments, and get snippy when she isn't asked for her input.
History
Kestrel grew up on a secret Night World island with her two sisters and older brother. Not much was expected of her except to marry a nice boy from a respectable lamia family and keep the Redfern family line going. So she and her sisters conspired to escape. They had an Aunt in a town called Briar Creek, through secret messages they plotted and conspired, and eventually the sisters left the island and headed for Briar Creek. The human world was tougher than the sisters thought, their first mistake hitching a ride with two boys who tried to get fresh, forcing them to feed in order to subdue them. They discovered to their horror on arrival that their Aunt had been murdered, and they were being tracked by their older brother Ash.
