Appearance: Nate is lanky and attractive in a laid back kind of way, with a scruffy but at the same time his sculpted facial features and tuned physique manage to make the scruffiness of his unshaven beard and unkempt long hair irritatingly attractive. Nate has a naturally toned body, lithe and sinewy. His hair is the colour of wet sand, dark gold almost brown. His eyes are a soft hazel.
Personality: Nate is watchful. The background guy who hangs on the edge. The snake who strikes when least expected. He's nice enough, but with a feeling that there's something - off - about him you can't quite put your finger on. You're not really sure if he's on your side on not. Nate gets a little irritated at that and can't understand what it is about him that's off putting. He can be quite witty when he wants to be.
Strengths: Nate is a werewolf and has enhanced speed and senses. He's also a good spy, good at reading people, working out what they're thinking. He's pretty good at psychology and working out what's going on in people's heads. Nate is also pretty good with his hands - he likes to build and make things out of metal and wood.
Weaknesses: Nate can't seem to get over the fact that most vampires don't like werewolves and look down on them as lesser species. He can get particular about that, and snappy. He hates having to deal with the species, and particularly taking orders from them. It makes working in teams difficult if there's a vampire there. Which is a pity cause Nate is a good Daybreak agent when he wants to be. He has a habit of taking things very personally. If he hears something bad is going down, he hovers a lot and thinks its usually something to do with him, even though ninety nine percent of time its not. He's closed off and emotionally repressed, finding it hard to deal with relationships. He's good at one night stands, but isn't really all that comfortable going any deeper than that.
History
Nate's parents were both doctors, he and his little sister Miranda were equally spoiled. Everything would have been pretty good for them - if they weren't werewolves. It didn't seem to matter how successful his parents were or how good looking, the upper class Night Worlders still snubbed them for the simple, stupid facts that they were werewolves.He went to a posh boarding school, but was snubbed when the "w" word got out. Nate did have a bit of joy when he finally got his first girlfriend thanks to a calculus course he was failing and had to get a girl tutor him. The girl was a year older than him and a witch. With her help he found a small group of friends who were part of the growing Circle Daybreak. Nate became a Daybreak member. He dated his girlfriend through out the rest of high school, they even went to college together. During their junior year, Nate had a new roommate - a vampire. He came home after a late class one night to find the vampire roommate feeding on his girlfriend. Nate was furious and shifted, almost killing the vampire. He was pulled off and restrained, and kicked out of the college. His girlfriend had lost too much blood and didn't survive.
Nate remained in the Daybreaker's Las Vegas mansion for the next few years where he dealt with his loss, grudgingly realising he would have to accept not all vampires were bad. He still hasn't quite gotten there yet.
